At Major Hospital we understand a woman's need for specialized health care. We also understandthese needs vary during the different stages in a woman's life. That's why we offer both the Birth Place and the Center for Women’s Health. The Birth Place provides expert obstetrical care, while the Center for Women’s Health is a sophisticated health care facility dedicated solely to women.

Maternity and OB/GYN Surgical Services
Mothers-to-be feel right at home in our Women’s Center maternity unit. Upon your arrival, you will be escorted to your private suite. Each room is equipped with the newest technology for both mom and baby.
Our Special Care Level II Nursery provides newborns with complications the specialized care they need and keeps them near their mothers. These babies are continously monitored by our state-of-the-art neonatal advanced life support technology and specially trained neonatal advanced life support nurses and physicians.

Women's Imaging
Women’s Imaging is designed to provide patients with the privacy, confidentiality, quality of care and services they deserve. Each of our beautifully decorated procedure rooms has an adjoining dressing room for assured privacy. Our dedicated staff of registered technologists and board-certified radiologists are committed to ensuring you receive the quality care you deserve.
Services provided by Women’s Imaging:
- Digital mammography with enhanced R2 ImageChecker®
- Ultrasonography
- Bone densitometry
- Stereotatic breast biopsy
Women's Imaging Speaker Services
Major Hospital’s Center for Women’s Health provides registered technologists for speaking engagements for educational programs on the topics of mammography, breast health, stereotatic procedures or osteoporosis. Health Resource Library
Major Hospital’s Health Resource Library contains numerous books and videos on family health topics. These books and videos may be used onsite or borrowed for home use. Our selection also includes medical reference textbooks, audiotapes, medical journals and CD-ROMs. We are pleased to offer health information that supports our medical services for menopause management, osteoporosis, breast health and other women’s health issues. We are eager to assist you in researching health information using our INFO-TRAC software on the internet.
