SAFE SITTER® PROGRAM
The Safe Sitter® program is a medically accurate program that teaches boys and girls ages 11-13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children.
Class materials include:
- Safe Sitter Manual
- Messenger Tote Bag
- Band-Aid Dispenser
- Important Numbers Pad
- Safe Sitter Introducing Cards
- Flashlight
- Completion Card
Classes held 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
We can schedule Safe Sitter classes with organizations such as Youth Groups, Girl Scouts, and groups with 5 or more participants. Call 398-5297 if interested in this course!
Class Fee: $30
Requirements:
- Class is for children ages 11-13. The participant must be 11 years old by the date of the class to register.
- All participants must be pre-registered; no walk-ins accepted.
- Payment is due prior to class.
- Must have a minumum of 5 students per class or class will be cancelled due to enrollment.
Youth CPR will be taught in conjuction with Safe Sitter and Safe Sitter students receive a discount!

HEARTSAVER CPR
Heartsaver CPR is a CPR course that teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants. The course will use barrier devices for all ages. Participants will complete a skills evaluation to receive a certification card which will be valid for 2 (two) years.
Classes held: Saturdays 9 am - 12 pm.

HEARTSAVER AED
Heartsaver AED Course teaches participants how to perform CPR, use an AED, and relief of choking in adults and children, as well as infant CPR and relief of choking. The course will also use barrier devices for all ages. Participants will complete a skills evaluation to receive a certification card which will be valid for 2 (two) years.
Class fee: $45.00
Recertification fee: $40.00 (must show proof of current certification)

HEARTSAVER FIRST AID COURSES
We offer two Heartsaver First Aid courses: Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid and Heartsaver First Aid. The Pediatric First Aid class is for individuals who provide care for children and infants. The First Aid course is for individuals who provide first aid in the work place. Upon completion, participants receive a certification card which is valid for two (2) years.
Both classes include:
- basic first aid
- medical emergencies
- injury emergencies
- environmental emergencies
- optional topics
- choking
Class fee: $30.00
Recertification fee: $30.00
Class held: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

YOUTH CPR
This course is available to all youth ages 11-17 years of age. The Youth CPR course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants. The course will use barrier devices for all ages. Participants will complete a skills evaluation to receive a certification card which will be valid for 2 years.
Class fee: $30.00
*Cost for Safe Sitter® graduates: $25.00
Classes held: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS CPR
The Family & Friends CPR course teaches participants how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants and how to help an adult, child, and infant who is choking. This is a non-certification course.
Class fee: $15

BLS HEALTH CARE PROVIDER COURSE
This course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR including two rescuer and the use of bag mask. Foreign body airway obstruction and AED use is also covered. Participants will complete a written exam along with a skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years.

Recertification fee: $40.00 (must show proof of current certification)

ACLS PROVIDER COURSES
The ACLS Provider is for emergency, intensive care, or critical care health care providers. Participants will complete a written exam along with a skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years. Initial class is a two day class. Recertification class is a one day class.
Class fee: $150.00 for initial and $125.00 for recertification

PALS PROVIDER
The PALS Provider course is for pediatricians, emergency personnel, pediatric health care providers, paramedics and respiratory therapists. Participants will complete a written exam and skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years. Initial class is a two day class. Recertification class is a one day class.
Class fee: $150.00 for initial class and $125.00 for recertification class

- You must be pre-registered.
- Payment must be received one week in advance.
- All participates requesting a recertification class must show proof of their current AHA card. If a participant seeking renewal presents an expired card, he/she will have to take the initial course.
- All participants will have access to the course materials before their course. Course materials will be given after payment is received.
Refunds for cancellations will be available only to those participants who notify the Education Services Department 24 hours prior to the start of a class. If the participant fails to notify the Education Services Department prior to the 24 hour time limitation, no refunds will be given. Education Services reserves the right to cancel any class due to weather, class enrollment, and/or unforeseen circumstances.
*Refunds will not include the price of the student manual.
