SAFE SITTER® PROGRAM
We can schedule Safe Sitter classes with organizations such as Youth Groups, Girl Scouts, and groups with 5 or more participants. Call 398-5297 if interested in this course!
Youth CPR will be taught in conjuction with Safe Sitter and Safe Sitter students receive a discount! CPR COURSES FOR LAY RESCUERS Registration and cancellation policy HEARTSAVER CPR Heartsaver CPR is a CPR course that teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants. The course will use barrier devices for all ages. Participants will complete a skills evaluation to receive a certification card which will be valid for 2 (two) years. Classes held: Saturdays 9 am - 12 pm.
Class fee : $35.00 for adult, child and infant CPR; $25.00 for adult and child CPR ONLY Heartsaver AED Course teaches participants how to perform CPR, use an AED, and relief of choking in adults and children, as well as infant CPR and relief of choking. The course will also use barrier devices for all ages. Participants will complete a skills evaluation to receive a certification card which will be valid for 2 (two) years. Class fee: $45.00 Classes held: HEARTSAVER FIRST AID COURSES We offer two Heartsaver First Aid courses: Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid and Heartsaver First Aid. The Pediatric First Aid class is for individuals who provide care for children and infants. The First Aid course is for individuals who provide first aid in the work place. Upon completion, participants receive a certification card which is valid for two (2) years. Both classes include:

YOUTH CPR This course is available to all youth ages 11-17 years of age. The Youth CPR course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants. The course will use barrier devices for all ages. Participants will complete a skills evaluation to receive a certification card which will be valid for 2 years. The Family & Friends CPR course teaches participants how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants and how to help an adult, child, and infant who is choking. This is a non-certification course. Class fee: $15 Classes held: We schedule courses with four (4) or more family and friends who want to learn CPR. Please call us for more information (317) 398-5297. Please watch for our free CPR courses held in the spring of 2010. Registration and cancellation policy BLS HEALTH CARE PROVIDER COURSE This course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR including two rescuer and the use of bag mask. Foreign body airway obstruction and AED use is also covered. Participants will complete a written exam along with a skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years. Class fee: $45.00 Recertification fee: $40.00 (must show proof of current certification) Initial Course dates (class held 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
BLS recertification courses available: Recertification may be obtained by attending either a morning session from 9 a.m - noon or an afternoon session from 1 p.m - 4 p.m. Recertification Course dates (class 9 a.m. - noon)

The ACLS Provider is for emergency, intensive care, or critical care health care providers. Participants will complete a written exam along with a skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years. Initial class is a two day class. PALS PROVIDER The PALS Provider course is for pediatricians, emergency personnel, pediatric health care providers, paramedics and respiratory therapists. Participants will complete a written exam and skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years. Initial class is a two day class. Cancellation & Refund Info Refunds for cancellations will be available only to those participants who notify the Education Services Department 24 hours prior to the start of a class. If the participant fails to notify the Education Services Department prior to the 24 hour time limitation, no refunds will be given. Education Services reserves the right to cancel any class due to weather, class enrollment, and/or unforeseen circumstances.
