HEARTSAVER CPR AED Heartsaver CPR AED Course teaches participants how to perform CPR, use an AED, and relief of choking in adults and children, as well as infant CPR and relief of choking. The course will also use barrier devices for all ages. Participants will complete a skills evaluation to receive a certification card which will be valid for 2 (two) years. Class fee: $45.00 Classes held: Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Classroom
HEARTSAVER FIRST AID COURSES Heartsaver First Aid is now offered online through www.onlineaha.org. Heartsaver First Aid Online is a self-directed course that uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you comprehensive first aid knowledge. This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs an AHA course completion card. You will learn:
First Aid instruction includes bandaging, bleeding, wounds, choking, shock, seizure, fainting, broken bones, sprains, burns, bites, stings, poison, and temperature-related conditions, to name a few. Once you begin the course, you'll have access to the online lessons, videos, manuals and resources for 2 years! And you can start and stop the course at your convenience until you have finished it at your own pace. Successful completion of the full Heartsaver First Aid Course includes three (3) parts:
After you successfully complete all 3 parts, you will receive an AHA Heartsaver First Aid course completion card, valid for two years. Skills sessions (Parts 2–3) must be completed within 60 days of completing the online Part 1. BLS HEALTH CARE PROVIDER COURSE This course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR including two rescuer and the use of bag mask. Foreign body airway obstruction and AED use is also covered. Participants will complete a written exam along with a skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years. Class fee: $45.00 Recertification fee: $40.00 (must show proof of current certification) Initial Course dates (all classes are held 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., 3rd floor classroom)
BLS recertification courses available: Recertification may be obtained by attending either a morning session from 8:00 a.m - 11:00 a.m. or an afternoon session from Noon - 3:00 p.m. Classes are located in the 3rd floor classroom. Recertification Course dates (class 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.)
The ACLS Provider is for emergency, intensive care, or critical care health care providers. Participants will complete a written exam along with a skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years. Initial class is a two day class. PALS PROVIDER The PALS Provider course is for pediatricians, emergency personnel, pediatric health care providers, paramedics and respiratory therapists. Participants will complete a written exam and skills evaluation to receive a completion card which is valid for 2 (two) years. Initial class is a two day class. Cancellation & Refund Info Refunds for cancellations will be available only to those participants who notify the Education Services Department 24 hours prior to the start of a class. If the participant fails to notify the Education Services Department prior to the 24 hour time limitation, no refunds will be given. Education Services reserves the right to cancel any class due to weather, class enrollment, and/or unforeseen circumstances.
